Mika & James' Wedding
Mika (Meek-a, I've got your back, girl- I understand the struggle lol) and James were just the absolute sweetest couple! They had their very intimate ceremony and reception on December 30, right before the new year, and boy, we couldn't think of a better way to start the new year than married to your best friend! The place was all smiles, and a few tears as sweet Mika and James said their "I do"'s, and tied blue ribbon around each others' fingers to signify their promise to love and cherish each other through the good and the bad, through sickness and in health, which, I am positive meant more to this couple than we realized at the time.
Mika (Meek-a, I've got your back, girl- I understand the struggle lol) and James were just the absolute sweetest couple! They had their very intimate ceremony and reception at an adorable Heights area Airbnb on December 30, right before the new year, and boy, we couldn't think of a better way to start the new year than married to your best friend! The place was all smiles, and a few tears as sweet Mika and James said their "I do"'s, and tied blue ribbon around each others' fingers to signify their promise to love and cherish each other through the good and the bad, through sickness and in health. I am positive this meant more to this couple than we realized at the time. Mika surprised us after the ceremony by taking off her beautiful wig to reveal that she, herself, was going through chemotherapy treatments. And if you spot "Lambie" in the photos instead of a bouquet, just smile for Mika- we learned that he was a gift from James while she was in the hospital, and their "child" had to be part of this incredibly special day for the two of them. :) Based on the joy and peace that radiated from their faces all morning, we never would imagined what this strong couple has already faced together, and pray for a full recovery for beautiful Mika, and an abundantly blessed marriage for her and James. May you both always keep the hope, faith, and joy that we experienced from you on your wedding day, and may you continue to grow together for many years to come!
Much love,
Mikala & Josh
Krysti & Josh
Let's begin by saying a big congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Collins on their beautiful nuptials!
Krysti and I (Mikala) have known one another since we were literally toddlers, and many of my childhood memories include the two of us running up and down Brantley Street, playing soap opera Barbies in the backyard, WWF "wrestling" in the front with the brothers, and spending every day before and after school at her house. When she reached out in November asking if we would be the photographers for her wedding, I was ecstatic! Krysti was my first real best friend, so it was such an honor for us to be able to document such a huge moment in her life!

She told me that it would be a simple, informal, backyard wedding at her parents' house in La Vernia, TX (which was convenient since we would be in San Antonio for Thanksgiving that weekend anyway), but when we arrived, the scene was so much more than she had described! Everything was beautiful, from the white tent with string lights, to the ceremony arbor, the incredible cake, and, of course, the stunning bride and groom!
Krysti and Josh, it is obvious how much you love one another, and thank you for allowing us to be part of your big day! We pray many blessed years ahead for you and your growing family!
Much love,
Mikala & Josh
Angela & Mike
Having been victims of the floodwaters of Hurricane Harvey in August, Angela and Mike made the decision to have an intimate family wedding, in order to focus their attention on rebuilding their damaged home. On November 4, 2017, their plans came to fruition, and they had such a beautiful ceremony at Helen's Gardens in League City!

On November 4, 2017, their plans came to fruition, and they had such a beautiful ceremony at Helen's Gardens in League City! This fun couple truly made it a day that reflected their fun and light personalities, and Mike kept everybody rolling the whole afternoon with his quick wit. Before the wedding, Mike described the day as being "the happiest day of his life", and based on the ear to ear smiles on both of their faces, I don't doubt for a minute that his words were true. :)
Although the rain cut us a little short, their wedding day was absolutely gorgeous, and their love for one another was so evident and undeniable.
Angela & Mike, we hope that you had such a wonderful first Thanksgiving as husband and wife, and many, many more blessed holidays to come!

Nelly & Rene
Nelly & Rene were the perfect couple to work with! The love that they had for each other radiated from their smiles, Rene knew just how to make Nelly laugh, and they looked just incredible, which made for simply stunning photos!
Hi friends, Mikala here! I'd like to welcome you to my very first solo session! :D As most of you know, Josh is our primary photographer, so when Nelly reached out about having photos done after their small civil ceremony on a day that Josh was out of town, I must say- my nerves were really working! I am ECSTATIC that I said yes, because Nelly & Rene were the perfect couple to work with! The love that they had for each other radiated from their smiles, Rene knew just how to make Nelly laugh, and they looked just incredible, which made for simply stunning photos! I promise, I asked them at least five times if they had modeled before, because they just looked so natural in front of the camera!
Nelly & Rene, I'm so glad that you guys decided to skip the Astros celebration parade and celebrate your love for one another instead!! May you continue to love each other deeply, make each other laugh, and have a beautiful life together!
Much love,
Mikala
Claudia & Aldo
It was a perfect day for a September wedding in my hometown of San Antonio! Claudia wanted a cultural celebration, and there is no better place than San Antonio, which is notorious for it's Texan and Hispanic culture!
It was a perfect day for a September wedding in my hometown of San Antonio! Claudia wanted a cultural celebration, and there is no better place than San Antonio, which is notorious for it's Texan and Hispanic culture! In the words of Claudia herself, "I couldn't take the family to Mexico, so I brought Mexico to them," and that she did. The vibrant colors of the flowers, the flirty fun of the traditional Mexican bridesmaids dresses, and the energy of San Antonio's Market Square oozed the culture that she was wanting in her special day. And you can't go to Market Square without a trip to the famous Mi Tierra, which is exactly where they topped off their celebration!
Although Claudia and Aldo had a private wedding ceremony, we were so honored to have been invited to take portraits of the family and the glowing couple! And aren't they just beautiful?
Claudia and Aldo, we wish you the very best in your marriage, and more blessings and joy than you can contain!

Jade & Buddy's Wedding
We were so blessed and excited to be able to attend Jade and Buddy's big day! The love was evident, the excitement was true, and I don't think there was a dry eye in the wedding party! Although we were only guests, we were able to capture a few of the beautiful moments of their day. :)
